How to Customize Your Build-A-Box Subscription


Your Custom Box subscription lets you choose exactly which premium cuts go in every delivery. You can swap items, adjust your selections, and personalize your box anytime before your next order ships.

This guide walks you through the full process.




Before You Start

  • You must be logged in to your Wanted Raw Foods account

  • You need an active Custom Box subscription (Classic Box or Big Box)

  • Your subscription must not be paused — you'll need to resume it first before making edits

  • Changes apply to your next delivery, not previous or in-transit orders




What's in Each Box?

Your box is organized into four categories. Each category has a set number of slots depending on your plan:

Step-by-Step: How to Edit Your Box

1. Go to the Edit My Box Page

  • Log in to your account at wantedrawfoods.com

  • Navigate to your Profile or Orders page in your customer account

  • Look for the "Your Custom Box" card — it shows your box type (Classic or Big) and price

  • Click the "Edit My Box" button

2. Review Your Current Items

Once the page loads, you'll see your current box contents organized by category:

  • Staples — your everyday essentials

  • Mains — your big cuts

  • Premium — your specialty cuts

  • Add-ons — your extras

Each item shows a product image, name, and a "Swap" button.

On the right side (or below on mobile), you'll see a sidebar summary showing:

  • How many items you have in each category

  • Your next delivery date

  • Your delivery frequency

3. Swap an Item

To replace an item with something different:

  1. Click the "Swap" button on the item you want to change

  2. A window will open showing all available products in that same category

  3. Browse or use the search bar to find what you want

  4. Click on the product you'd like instead

  5. The swap is staged — you'll see the new item appear with a blue dashed border and a "New item" badge

You can swap as many items as you'd like before saving.

4. Add an Item (If a Category Needs More)

If a category has fewer items than required (shown with a red highlight), you'll see an "Add Item" button. Click it to browse and select a product to fill that slot.

5. Review and Save

  • Look over all your changes — new items have a blue border so they're easy to spot

  • When you're happy, click the "Save Changes" button

  • A loading screen will appear while your changes are processed

  • Once complete, you'll see a success message and be redirected to your subscription details page




Important Rules

  • Maximum 2 of the same item: You can have up to 2 of any single product in your box, but not more

  • Stay within your category counts: Each category must have the exact number of items required for your box type. If a category is short, it'll be highlighted in red

  • Swaps are within categories: You can only swap a Staples item for another Staples product, a Mains item for another Mains product, etc. You can't swap across categories

  • Flat-rate pricing: Your box price stays the same ($169 for Classic, $299 for Big) no matter which specific products you choose. Individual product retail prices don't affect your box price

  • Changes take effect on your next order: Any edits you make will apply to your next scheduled delivery




If Something Goes Wrong

  • Partial save: If some changes succeed but others fail, you'll see a message telling you which ones worked and which didn't. The page will reload so you can try the failed changes again

  • Page not loading: Make sure you're logged in. If you see a login prompt, sign in and try again

  • No subscription found: The page will let you know if it can't find an active Custom Box subscription on your account. Make sure your subscription is active (not paused or cancelled)
