Angus Beef FAQ
1. What makes your Angus beef special?
Our Angus cattle are known for their rich flavor, tender meat, and natural marbling. Raised on open pasture at Little G Ranch in Texas, they grow at a natural pace without shortcuts or industrial methods.
2. How are your cattle raised?
Our cattle live on open pasture, grazing fresh grass and roaming freely. They are never kept in feedlots and are handled with care in a low-stress environment.
3. Are your cattle grass-fed or grain-finished?
They are grass-fed and grain-finished. This means they graze on pasture for most of their lives, then finish with a locally sourced, non-GMO grain blend. This adds marbling and flavor.
4. Do you use antibiotics or hormones?
We never use growth hormones. Antibiotics are only used when medically necessary, not as a routine practice.
5. What's the difference between Angus beef and other breeds?
Angus cattle have more marbling than most breeds. This fine fat creates tender meat with a buttery, rich taste.
6. Is your beef USDA inspected?
Yes. All of our beef is processed in USDA-inspected facilities for safety and quality.
7. Do you dry age your beef?
Yes. We dry age our Angus beef for at least 14 days. This brings out deeper flavor and extra tenderness.
8. What cuts of beef do you offer?
We offer ribeye, strip steak, filet mignon, roasts, briskets, ground beef, and other specialty cuts.
9. What's the best cut for grilling?
Ribeye, strip steak, and sirloin are customer favorites. For slow cooking, try chuck roast or short ribs.
10. How should I cook Angus beef for the best flavor?
Cook over medium-high heat to sear the outside and keep the inside juicy. For steaks, medium-rare to medium is best for tenderness.
11. Can I freeze Angus beef?
Yes. Our beef is vacuum sealed and can be frozen for up to 12 months without losing quality.
12. Is Angus beef healthier than conventional beef?
Compared to feedlot beef, pasture-raised beef can have a different fat profile. We focus on clean raising practices and a natural lifestyle—quality you can taste.
13. Do you sell beef in bulk?
Yes. We sell half and quarter beef shares, as well as individual cuts.
14. Why is your beef more expensive than store bought?
Our beef costs more because of small-scale ranching, better genetics, humane care, and natural diets. The result is higher quality and richer flavor.
15. How do I store fresh beef from Wanted Raw Foods?
Keep beef in the fridge at 40°F or below and use within 3 to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze right away.
